Caramel Apple Cookies

Ingredients
Cookies
¾ cup butter
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup apple butter
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
2¼ teaspoons baking powder
2¼ cups flour
Frosting
3 tablespoons butter
¼ cup cream
½ cup brown sugar
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Cookies
- For cookies, preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and granulated sugar. Mix in apple butter, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, baking powder, and flour. Roll dough into balls and bake 8 minutes. Cool and frost. Makes 12 to 18 cookies.
Frosting
- For frosting, melt butter in a saucepan over medium. Combine cream and brown sugar with butter and let cool. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Cool completely before icing cookies.
